Job Description

Platform on-boarding (Development) Onboarding team is essentially acting as a low-level systems integration and deployment team, ensuring that the necessary kernel, drivers, and software are correctly packaged and deployed onto the target hardware. Kernel, Driver, and ISO Onboarding Responsibilities include: - Kernel Integration and Configuration - Assisting with kernel parameter tuning for specific hardware or software requirements. - Troubleshooting kernel-related issues - Ensuring kernel compatibility with target hardware. - Validating with performance related runs like cyclic test, hwlat tests. Driver Firmware Integration: - Assisting with driver testing and debugging with specific tests - Ensuring driver compatibility with the target kernel and hardware. - Helping to integrate in-tree and out-of-tree drivers. ISO Image Creation and Customization: - Developing and maintaining scripts for creating customized ISO images. - Integrating kernel and drivers into the ISO image. - Testing ISO images on target hardware. - Packaging software into the ISO. - Managing dependencies and libraries. Hardware Compatibility Testing: - Developing test plans for hardware compatibility. - Conducting tests on various hardware platforms. - Identifying and resolving hardware compatibility issues. Security Hardening: - Ensuring compliance with security standards - Performing security audits of ISO images. Bootloader Configuration: - configuration of bootloaders such as GRUB or U-Boot. - Troubleshooting boot issues. - Ensuring proper boot parameters are set within the ISO. - Setting up and troubleshooting root file system within the ISO. - Configuring filesystems for optimal performance. User/Service/Application Provisioning: - Setting up initial access, permissions, and accounts. - Deploying necessary infrastructure components (e.g., namespaces, storage, network configurations). - Troubleshooting issues related to configuration, or deployment - Multi node, multi pod dimensioning deployment validation Validating Feature with Cloud releases - Validating new release features with specific test cases. Target Platforms SMC, Dell -HW Intel- ICX, Saphire RPD, GNR-D Processor onboarding Onboarding RT/NRT applications on different cloud platforms Skills C/C++/Python Programming Language, Understanding K8S concepts to on-board workloads
