Platform Engineer

You will be joining Citi's multi-year transformation effort to simplify and modernize its legacy core banking platform by migrating the DDA module into a modern cloud native next-generation DDA platform. As a Platform Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to build internal platform, tools, and automation that facilitate development teams in delivering high-quality software efficiently in collaboration with the Technology team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize applications development procedures and concepts to identify system enhancements - Consult with users and technology groups, recommend programming solutions, and support customer exposure systems - Analyze applications for vulnerabilities, conduct testing and debugging - Serve as an advisor to new analysts and make evaluative judgments to implement solutions - Resolve issues independently by applying technical experience and judgment - Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and team members - Assess risk in business decisions and ensure compliance with regulations and policies **Qualifications:** - 4+ years of experience in the Financial Service industry - Intermediate level experience in Java Applications Development - Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (OpenShift) and deployment solutions such as Dockers/Kubernetes - Experience with Agile software development and CI/CD pipelines - Ability to evaluate design trade-offs and communicate effectively - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines **Education:** - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience This job description offers a concise overview of the responsibilities and qualifications required.
