Plants Project Manager - HVDC

The opportunity: As a Plants Project Manager HVDC at Hitachi Energy, you will lead the Plants & Civil design team, focusing on Electromechanical, Electrical (Station Auxiliary Power), and Civil Design for HVDC projects. You will support the project team in executing project processes with the Plants team. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a key competence center with over 3000 skilled engineers, supporting Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. How you'll make an impact: You will be a proactive project manager for the Plants and Civil design team, fostering camaraderie and transparency within the team. Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks for projects, ensuring high quality and adherence to safety regulations. Mitigate risks and identify opportunities for engineering projects/programs, supporting the Project Engineering Manager in overall risk assessments. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, attend project meetings, and present project management aspects. Demonstrate strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and responsibility in decision-making for the team. Collaborate with colleagues within Hitachi Energy, sharing best practices and driving technical leads to cost-effective solutions. Your background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Equivalent with 10 to 15 years of experience in Substation primary or secondary project lead or project management. Understanding of Primary/Auxiliary power design of AC Substations or HVDC Stations with Project management techniques. Experience in tender support or bidding processes. Effective communication, collaboration, intercultural sensitivity, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze, communicate, and collaborate effectively.
