Plant Supervisor - Seafood

Supervisor (Seafood Processing / Packing Floor)Purpose

Supervise daily processing and packing activities, provide complete shift documentation for production, material usage, and handover continuity.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor and record daily production (kg processed, packed, rejected).
• Track and report all material usage:
• Maintain accurate records of in-process inventory:
• Conduct end-of-shift handover guide:
• Action items for next shift
• Submit DPR + guide to Production Manager daily.
• Ensure all CCP checks (temperature, hygiene, sanitation) are logged.
• Support audits by keeping accurate material/production records.

Daily Deliverables

• Daily Production Report (DPR)
• Shift Handover Guide

KPIs

• Accuracy of DPR entries (vs Accounts reconciliation).
• On-time submission of DPR and handover.
• Smoothness of shift transitions (measured by downtime after handover).
• Material wastage % (ice, cartons, packaging).

Education: Minimum SSLC (10th Standard) pass.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in seafood processing industry.
• Must have experience in shift-based work environments.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience in:
• Production line supervision
• Freezing operations (tunnel, blast freezer)
• Packaging management (cartons, liners, labeling, etc.)

Basic understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and cold-chain handling in seafood processing.

Work Conditions:

• Ability to work in cold/freezer environments.
• Physically fit for long standing hours and supervising loading/unloading.

Soft Skills:

• Strong team-handling ability.
• Discipline in reporting (Daily Production Report & Shift Handover Guide).
• Problem-solving attitude in case of breakdowns or manpower shortages.
