Job Summary:

The Pharmaceutical Plant In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety regulations, and company policies. This role involves supervising production processes, managing resources, ensuring product quality, and maintaining efficient

workflow to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, etc.).
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with different departments, including quality control, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and guidelines.
  • Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure workplace safety by implementing health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor hazardous material handling and disposal according to environmental regulations.
  • Conduct safety training for employees to minimize workplace accidents.
  • Supervise and manage plant chemists and operators
  • Resolve any operational or personnel issues to ensure a productive work environment.
  • Monitor raw material availability
  • Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment and machinery.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of

    3-5 years

    of experience in pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical production processes.
  • Experience in managing audits from regulatory bodies.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
