Job Description

On behalf of our client (academic institution), we are looking for Planning Manager to join their Institution Building team.

Role:

Location:

The Planning Manager will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project

schedules, resource allocation, and progress reporting across multiple packages. This role

ensures timely project delivery by integrating planning, budgeting, and execution strategies

aligned with organizational objectives reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using advanced planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
  • Prepare baseline schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Coordinate with design, contracts, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of activities.
  • Identify project risks, delays, and constraints and propose corrective actions proactively.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline and generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports for management review.
  • Guide PMO, PMC & Architect & Contractor do develop respective schedules based on master schedule.
  • Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting based on project phasing and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements within approved timelines.
  • Facilitate cross-functional stakeholder coordination to maintain project transparency and accountability.

Education:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering/ B.Arch or related discipline (mandatory).
  • Masters in Construction Management or Project Planning (preferred).

Experience:

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and control within large-scale building, institutional, or infrastructure projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and related planning tools.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and integrated scheduling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
