Planning Manager

As a Planning Manager at Mott MacDonald, you will lead the project planning team with precision and a deep understanding of the construction industry to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Your role will require strategic planning, effective communication, and robust project management skills. **Main Responsibilities Include:** - Possessing knowledge in the understanding of stages of planning i.e., pre-contract (Procurement) and post-contract stages. - Demonstrating understanding of work methods of different packages such as structural, finishes, and long lead equipment. - Having a working understanding of electrical and mechanical packages. - Showing high proficiency in MS Project/Primavera P6. - Reviewing basic plans shared by the Client, validating them with various work packages and lead time required. - Preparing a baseline integrated plan for the overall project. - Reviewing schedules proposed by various contractors/vendors during bid evaluation. - Reviewing work packages and their ordering plan, escalating concerns if any. - Conducting monthly meetings. - Reviewing and freezing baseline schedules of each work package contractor/vendor. - Reviewing contractors" monthly plans and commenting on the resource plan for alignment. - Tracking baseline plans of major vendors. - Organizing monthly meetings. - Keeping all records of monthly project plan versus progress. - Flagging concerns on slippages and supporting the digital champion on risk register. - Preparing monthly project reports with support from other members. **The Candidate Must Have:** - Experience working in Industrial, Manufacturing, Production projects or similar. - In-depth technical skills related to planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls in the construction of industrial buildings. - Being a team player with good coordination skills. - Knowledge in understanding site layout drawings, Engineering drawings, technical specifications, bill of materials. - Conversant in all packages of Civil, Structural, Finishes, and basic understanding of MEP services integration. - Working knowledge of project management best practices related to Planning. - Solid communication and team working skills. - Ability to navigate stressful work situations. - Experience with MS Project/Primavera. - Knowledge of any digital app-based applications. **Preferable Criteria:** - Experience in Industrial projects preferred. - Conversant in industrial long lead equipment packages. **Minimum Qualification:** - BE / BTech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering. - Experience: 15 to 17 Years. - Industry: Industrial Projects. - Functional Area: As mentioned above.
