Planning Engineer

• Review daily customer emails for product requirements.
• Update customer purchase order details in sales order tracking (Excel, Tally, or ERP) and obtain management approval.
• Verify in-house stock availability; if materials are not available, raise Purchase Requisition (PR) and coordinate with the Purchase Department for procurement.
• For new product requirements, verify techno-commercial details in the purchase order and seek Directors approval.
• For routine jobs, check product specifications and techno-commercial requirements along with the purchase order.

Production & Dispatch Planning

• Prepare monthly dispatch and machine production plans based on sales orders.
• Discuss and review plans in daily morning meetings with concerned departments.
• For outsourced operations, provide schedules, drawings, and specifications to approved vendors and follow up on progress.
• Coordinate packing instructions for finished goods with the dispatch team to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Follow-Up & Tracking

• Track the current status of customer schedules in daily morning meetings.
• Follow up with subcontractors for outsourced process timelines and completion.
• Monitor customer schedules versus actual dispatch and present performance data during Management Review Meetings.

Logistics & Material Movement

• Manage transportation arrangements for interplant and outsourced material movement to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
• Ensure product dispatch is carried out in line with customer schedules and quality standards.

Customer Communication

• Immediately communicate with customers regarding any product discrepancies or deviations.
• Maintain regular updates with customers on order status when required.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong coordination and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of sales order processing and ERP/Tally software.
• Understanding of production planning and dispatch processes.
• Effective communication with customers and internal teams.
• Attention to detail in verifying techno-commercial requirements.

Performance Indicators:

• On-time dispatch rate vs. customer schedule.
• Accuracy of sales order entry and approvals.
• Timeliness of follow-ups with purchase and subcontractors.
