Job Description

Role & responsibilities Able to create and work in diverse team. Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organization. Communicates (in English) clearly, accurately, and consistently both verbally and in written matters. Employs the principles of active listening and encourages feedback from others. Responsible for developing piping material classes, perform pipe wall thickness calculations. Prepare technical specifications for pipes and fittings. Conduct technical bid evaluation of pipes, fittings, and valves. Fully familiar and prepare Valve datasheet, specs for Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, Butterfly and Double Block and Bleed Preparation of manual valve data sheets and valve data base. Prepare material requisition and purchase requisition for valve packages. Conduct technical bid evaluation. Review vendor documents. Review general assembly drawings of valves in various services. Participate in fugitive emission testing of valves. Review vendor quotations and prepare technical bid evaluations for valves and fittings. Review valve general assembly drawings (GAD). Prepare piping material specifications and perform piping wall thickness calculations. Review pipes, fittings and valves vendor documents. Resolve site engineering requests. Perform quality inspection of valves and specialty items. Technical review of Material Record Book document for piping components and issue engineering clearance. Project Execution: Knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability. Plans discipline quality, monitors quality activities, squad checking, drives and participates in squad checking, recommends improvements, and takes action where required. Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team, and consult with relevant resources as required. Coordinate review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements and specifications. Project Deliverable: Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc. Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval. Perform discipline specific engineering services such as: Identify and report changes to project scope; Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions; Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports; Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc. Tender Support: Support to the BD/Proposal department in preparing proposals. Developing and maintaining discipline estimating norms. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors in Chemical/Mechanical engineering, minimum 10 years experience, out of which 5 years should be with O&G engineering Consultants Responsible for piping material deliverables Should be readily available to travel to other Avenir offices for duration of 5 days to 6 months Have a good attitude
