Shrijee Group Sugar Mills Sugar Refineries Ethanol Plants Cane Crop Solutions Position: Piping Engineer Division: Sugar Division Location: Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. India. Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience Qualification: Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Shrijee is a globally known supplier of turnkey sugarcane factory and sugar refinery projects. Established in 1976, Shrijee has supplied its equipment to more than 400 sugar factories in India and to leading sugar producers in more than 30 countries. The corporate headquarters are in Mumbai (India) and regional offices are in Delhi, Ahmednagar and Chennai. Shrijee has three fully equipped manufacturing facilities located in the western and southern parts of India. We have more than 160 people in our team, including 50 Engineers and 15 MBAs. In addition to these, at any given time, we usually have 100-200 people working on our sites in India & overseas. We are looking for a Piping Engineer for our Ahmednagar Factory and Sites. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop piping layouts for sugar plant equipment including juice heaters, evaporators, Prepare Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and Conduct stress analysis and ensure piping designs comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., Select appropriate materials, valves, fittings, and supports based on process requirements and Coordinate with process engineers, civil, mechanical, and E&I teams to integrate piping with other Review vendor drawings and ensure compatibility with design specifications. Supervise piping fabrication and erection at project sites, ensuring compliance with drawings and Monitor and inspect piping installation work and conduct hydrostatic/pneumatic testing. Resolve site-level issues and provide technical support during commissioning and startup. Prepare documentation for project handover, including as-built drawings and quality records. Requirements: 1. Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 2. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in piping design and installation, preferably in the sugar, food processing or heavy industrial sectors. 3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, PDMS/E3D, or similar CAD/CAE tools. 4. Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME B31.3, IS standards, and fabrication/construction practices. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 6. Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required. Salary offered will be competitive. We offer a professional work environment.
