Piping Engineer

• Piping/Structural knowledge, including understanding and practical application of Piping and fabrication codes/standards associated with hazardous industries.

•Understand Design Codes knowledge for pressure systems, ASME, API, BS5500

•Understand Design Code ISO19900 series Structural requirements

•Welding knowledge and construction

• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings including Isometrics, piping support drawings, P&IDs, GA’s, Plot plans and layout schematics.

• Excellent Computerized systems skills .

• Good communication skills for onshore and offshore interfaces.

• Issue Scopes of Work to the engineering / construction contractor for survey, engineering, and fabrication / delivery.

• Responsible for the generation of high-quality job plans and work packs to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of work.

• Responsible for identifying the people, tools, materials, services, and procedures needed for a quality work pack.

• Responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and basic defect elimination in the day-to-day execution of work.

• Responsible for managing daily work load and priorities.

• Work with Repair Order contractors (Engineering and fabrication / offshore construction) and associated vendors to ensure continuous flow of work offshore for execution.
