Pipeline Technical Director

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining quality control practices across all aspects of the CGI/VFX pipeline. Your key responsibilities will include optimizing the pipeline, updating documentation, providing front-line support to artists, troubleshooting pipeline issues, and educating artists on efficient pipeline usage. It will be crucial for you to communicate effectively with end users and managers, create and update documentation, engage with artists and managers to understand their requirements, and manage resources and skills across multiple projects. To excel in this position, you must possess a passion for CG/VFX technology and art, excellent communication skills, and a strong knowledge of production technology and IT methods. You should also have experience in Python programming in a Windows environment, as well as familiarity with industry software packages such as Maya, Nuke, Houdini, and others. Additionally, experience with database technologies and large-scale production pipelines will be beneficial. As an ideal candidate, you should be proactive, team-oriented, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure. You should also be comfortable collaborating with multiple departments, designing and implementing new tools and processes, and managing deadlines effectively.
