Pipeline Technical Director

As a Pipeline Technical Director at Yotta, you will be responsible for overseeing all pipeline tools, software, and workflows to ensure the smooth delivery of Animation/VFX campaigns to the highest standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the design, development, and constant improvement of the Yotta Renderfarm production pipeline. - Collaborate with Production and Product teams to determine and update pipeline requirements and challenges. - Engage with Ops, Production, and Tech teams to stay updated on new tools and processes in the industry. - Customize existing tools and develop new ones to optimize workflow and increase production efficiency. - Ensure pipeline refinements enable teams to create additional compute inventory and in-content Virtual Product Placements effectively. - Develop libraries and APIs for core pipeline tools to meet project requirements. - Document and maintain pipeline code, tools, and processes for consistency and scalability. **Training & Support:** - Identify and provide necessary training to team members for effective pipeline usage. - Offer real-time technical support, implement bug fixes, and suggest solutions. - Continuously improve the pipeline based on learnings from past issues. **Problem Identification & Resolution:** - Monitor and troubleshoot the pipeline to identify and resolve issues before affecting production. - Conduct root cause analysis and work closely with teams to manage priorities and deadlines. **Qualification Required:** - University degree in Computer Science, VFX, Arts, or equivalent experience. **Required Skills:** - 10+ years of experience in VFX for Animation, Immersive media, LBEs, films, commercials, or television. - Strong understanding of Animation and VFX industry pipelines. - Advanced knowledge of programming languages like Python, Maya Mel, C++, etc. - Experience with DCC software such as Nuke, Maya, Houdini, etc. - Proficiency in Post workflow and 3D modeling/animation techniques. - Knowledge of Shotgrid and software engineering/debugging. - Ability to design scalable systems and research new techniques.
