You are an experienced Production Manager with over 5 years of experience in animation or related production roles. As a detail-oriented and highly organized professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest creative standards at our animation studio located in Gurgaon (Haryana). Your primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and tracking detailed production schedules for animated films and series. You will coordinate activities across departments such as storyboarding, design, modeling, animation, lighting, compositing, and post-production. Additionally, you will manage internal teams and external vendors/freelancers to ensure timely delivery of assets, monitor daily progress, and resolve any bottlenecks that may arise. As the Production Manager, you will facilitate regular production meetings, communicate updates to stakeholders, and collaborate with directors, creative leads, and technical supervisors to support artistic and technical goals. Your role will also involve tracking project budgets, approving timesheets, managing resource allocation, and maintaining project documentation and production reports. To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of animation pipelines and workflows (2D and/or 3D) and be proficient in production management tools like ShotGrid or similar software. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. You should be calm under pressure, solution-driven, and highly proactive, with familiarity in budgeting, scheduling, and reporting processes. Ideally, you will have a background in film, animation, media production, or a related field, with experience working on long-form animation projects or feature films being a plus. Knowledge of industry-standard creative software such as Maya, Blender, Unreal, or Adobe Suite is also advantageous. Role Purpose Own the end-to-end operations and delivery of CORE EHS Animation Services. Drive productivity, quality, and on-time delivery across multiple concurrent projects; lead client engagement; translate requirements into clear technical plans; and continuously improve pipeline, tools, and team capability. Key Responsibilities 1) Delivery & Operations Management Plan, allocate, and track work across Animation, Modelling, Compositing, VFX teams; maintain hundred% task visibility (shot/asset level). Build and run a production calendar (milestones, sprints, cut-offs, approvals, risk buffers). Ensure on-time, in-scope, in-quality delivery with clear change-control for scope/effort shifts. Monitor render farm/resources; optimize scenes/renders to meet schedules. 2) Productivity & Capacity Maintain utilization targets ; ensure no idle bandwidth through proactive loading and cross-training. Standardize checklists, naming, handoff formats; reduce rework via gate reviews (block spline polish). Weekly variance analysis (estimated vs. actual hours); implement corrective actions. 3) Client & Stakeholder Management Lead requirement discovery, moodboards, and shot-breakdowns; convert briefs into SOWs and shot lists . Own client communication: reviews, approvals, feedback loops, risk/escalation handling, and satisfaction (CSAT). Partner with BD/Presales on effort estimation, pricing inputs, and proposals . 4) Technical Direction & QA Provide hands-on guidance on 3ds Max workflows (Biped/Bones), look-dev, lighting, and FX/sim basics. Set quality bars (animation principles, continuity, camera hooks, comp finesse). Approve key shots, styleframes, and final composites; enforce QC gates and delivery packs. 5) People Leadership Build hiring plans; interview, onboard, mentor, and run skill matrices and IDPs. Conduct regular 1:1s, feedback, and performance reviews; reward high performers; address performance gaps. Foster a collaborative, deadline-driven culture aligned with CORE EHS values. 6) Process, Pipeline & Tools Own the production pipeline (DCC > comp > edit > render > delivery) and toolchain. Implement project tracking (ShotGrid/Jira/Trello), version control, and asset management. Drive continuous improvement templates, scripts, automations, render optimization. 7) Compliance & Safety Context Ensure content accuracy for industrial safety narratives; align with SMEs, check technical authenticity. Protect IP/data, enforce NDA and asset-handling protocols. Success Metrics (KPIs) On-time Delivery: milestones met. Quality (First-Time-Right): approvals without major rework. Team Utilization: idle time Monitoring & Advance Management. Rework Rate: of total effort. Client CSAT/NPS: repeat business ratio upward trend. Estimate Accuracy (EV): actuals. People: Attrition industry avg; ramp time for freshers eight weeks. Qualifications Bachelors/Diploma in Animation/VFX/Fine Arts/Media or equivalent portfolio-proven experience. Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary animation teams delivering film/eLearning/tech-viz. Industrial/safety/technical visualization background is a strong plus. Skill Set Must-Have (Hands-on/Directing): Autodesk 3ds Max (modelling, Biped/Bones animation), scene optimization. Compositing oversight ( After Effects / Nuke basics), edit sense (Premiere). FX/Simulation familiarity (Particle Flow/tyFlow, cloth/rigid-body) and render know-how (V-Ray/Arnold). Shot planning, camera continuity, story beats, and animation principles. Management & Tools: Shot/asset tracking ( ShotGrid/Jira/Trello ), Gantt/sprint planning, risk registers. Versioning/asset mgmt. (Perforce/Git/LFS or equivalent), render farm supervision. Estimation, SOWs, change control, and stakeholder reporting. Soft Skills: Strong client communication, negotiation, and expectation management. Analytical problem solving; calm under pressure; coaching mindset. Ways of Working On-site leadership in Surat; occasional travel for client meetings/shoots. Daily stand-ups, weekly ops reviews, monthly performance dashboards to leadership. Clear escalation matrix for blockers (creative, technical, or client-side).
