Job Description

PICKING, PACKING, SORTING, SCANNING, LOADING, UNLOADING ETC. 1. Picker (Order Picker)Primary Responsibility: Collect items from the warehouse/storage as per customer orders or dispatch lists. Key Tasks: Receive order slips/instructions from supervisors or through handheld devices (scanners). Locate and pick items accurately from shelves, bins, or pallets. Ensure items are damage-free and match the order description. Maintain inventory accuracy while picking. Transport picked items to the packing area. Skills Required: Attention to detail, basic knowledge of inventory management systems, physical stamina. 2. PackerPrimary Responsibility: Pack picked items securely for dispatch to ensure safe delivery. Key Tasks: Check picked items against the order list to ensure accuracy. Pack items using appropriate materials (cartons, bubble wrap, sealing tapes, etc.). Label cartons with correct shipping details (address, barcodes, etc.). Ensure weight and dimensions meet logistics/shipping standards. Move packed goods to the dispatch area for loading. Skills Required: Speed with accuracy, basic packaging knowledge, ability to handle fragile goods. Common Duties (Both Roles May Overlap in Small Warehouses)Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse. Follow company policies, safety standards, and reporting procedures. Assist in stock counting and inventory audits. Operate material handling equipment (trolley, pallet jack, etc.) if trained.
