As an experienced Physics Content Lead, your role will involve spearheading the development of comprehensive test-prep question banks for high-stakes standardized tests like AP Physics, JEE, and CUET. You will be responsible for building a strong foundation of pedagogically sound content, leading a team of subject matter experts (SMEs), and establishing quality standards to help students internalize key concepts and excel under pressure. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and overseeing the creation of exhaustive question banks for AP Physics, JEE, CUET, etc. - Developing a balanced distribution of questions ranging from foundational recall exercises to rigorous test-level problems. - Establishing content frameworks that align with testing blueprints. - Creating difficulty taxonomies and tagging systems for adaptive learning pathways. - Ensuring that questions progressively build conceptual understanding and enhance test-taking confidence. Team Leadership: - Recruiting, training, and managing a team of junior physics SMEs. - Establishing quality assurance protocols and review processes for all physics content. - Providing feedback and mentorship to help SMEs develop expertise in assessment writing. - Conducting regular calibration sessions to maintain consistency in difficulty levels and explanations. Quality & Pedagogical Excellence: - Writing exemplar questions that demonstrate best practices in assessment design. - Developing detailed solution explanations that reinforce conceptual understanding. - Reviewing and editing all questions for accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical value. - Identifying and eliminating bias, ambiguity, and potential confusion in problem statements. - Ensuring that questions reflect diverse contexts and real-world applications. Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Partnering with product and engineering teams to effectively implement content. - Collaborating with other Content Leads to uphold consistent quality across subjects. - Analyzing student performance data to identify content gaps and improvement opportunities. - Staying current with changes to test formats, content specifications, and scoring rubrics. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's/Masters degree in Physics, or a related STEM field (Master's preferred). - 2+ years of experience in physics teaching/content development at the high school or college level preferred. - Experience in managing or mentoring educators or content developers preferred. - Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. - Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
