About the Role

As a Junior PHP and WordPress Developer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic development team. Your responsibilities will span both back-end and front-end development, with a primary focus on building and customizing WordPress websites, developing themes and plugins, and contributing to high-performance, scalable web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance websites using WordPress and PHP
• Build custom themes and plugins tailored to project requirements
• Modify and improve existing WordPress features and functionality
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable PHP code
• Implement responsive design using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver seamless UI/UX
• Ensure website performance, security, and SEO best practices
• Stay current with evolving technologies and web development trends
• Provide technical documentation and internal/client support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of PHP development experience
• At least 1.5 years of experience in WordPress theme/plugin development
• Proficient in:
• PHP, MySQL
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• RESTful APIs, JSON, XML
• Version control tools (e.g., Git)

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with:
• Woo Commerce and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Other CMS platforms
• SEO and web accessibility standards
• Cloud hosting services like AWS
• Familiarity with performance testing and scalability strategies

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
