Phlebotomist

Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate blood sample collection, safe handling and labeling, and providing home sample collection services. Knowledge of conducting ECG (Electrocardiogram) procedures is also required. The role demands professionalism, patient care, and strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols. Key ResponsibilitiesCollect blood samples from patients (in-clinic and during home visits) using proper phlebotomy techniques. Ensure accurate patient identification, sample labeling, and safe handling. Perform ECG tests when required and maintain proper documentation. Follow infection control and safety guidelines during sample collection and handling. Ensure timely transportation of samples to the laboratory. Maintain proper records of collections, patient details, and reports. Provide clear communication and comfort to patients during the procedure. Manage and maintain collection equipment, supplies, and consumables. Report any unusual test findings, complications, or patient concerns to supervisors. Qualifications & SkillsDiploma/Certification in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or equivalent. Proven experience in blood sample collection and phlebotomy procedures. Knowledge and hands-on experience in performing ECG tests. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle patients with empathy and professionalism. Willingness to travel for home sample collection. Basic knowledge of medical record-keeping and reporting. Work ConditionsField and lab-based role with regular patient interaction.
