Pharmacist

As a Pharmacist at our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of prescribed medications and providing essential information to patients and attenders. Your responsibilities will include: - Verifying prescription information and dispensing prescribed medicines as per the dosage and patient information provided - Communicating appropriately with patients and attenders, offering basic medication usage instructions as per physicians" directions - Validating the accuracy of medicine labels and ensuring safe supply to patients, while taking legal responsibility for any dispensing errors - Supporting the management of Pharmacy inventory by receiving, sorting, and arranging medicines in respective bins - Monitoring stock levels, updating in a timely manner, refilling drugs to avoid stock out situations, and coordinating with inter-departments for product transfers and procurement needs - Disposing of drugs taken from patients as returns, validating expiry dates, preparing and organizing OT kits and IP wards meticulously based on prescriptions Qualifications required for this role: - Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university - Attention to detail to ensure accuracy when handling medications and patient information - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals - Basic pharmacology knowledge to understand the effects and uses of different medications You will be expected to adhere to Pharmacy regulations, safety protocols regarding medication handling and storage, as well as SRH and NABH norms. You will also be responsible for collecting cash, delivering medicines over-the-counter, ensuring accurate billing details, and supporting the storage of hazardous and non-hazardous Pharmacy products.
