Pharma International Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging opportunities and analyze competitive landscapes.
  • Track global pharmaceutical trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to refine and align business strategies.

Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Generate and pursue new leads through networking, industry events, and digital platforms.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in target international markets.
  • Develop customized proposals, presentations, and value propositions to secure new business.
  • Lead negotiations and finalize profitable, long-term business agreements.

Client Management & Growth

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and business expansion.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing tailored solutions to meet evolving client needs.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, regulatory, operations, and supply chain) for seamless client onboarding.
  • Ensure end-to-end project execution with timely delivery and compliance to international standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience:

    7 - 8 years in business development or sales within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Market Expertise:

    Strong knowledge of

    Southeast Asia and Africa

    pharmaceutical markets (experience in LATAM & MENA preferred).
  • Global Market Knowledge:

    Deep understanding of pharmaceutical business trends, market entry strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven Track Record:

    Demonstrated success in securing international contracts, achieving sales targets, and driving market growth.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong relationship-building and client engagement capabilities.
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Fluency in English (spoken & written).
    • Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings, conferences, and business development activities.
