Job Description Pharma International Business Development Manager Location: Pune, Maharashtra Department: International Business Development Reports To: Head – Business Development / Senior Leadership Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Pharma International Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of our pharmaceutical business globally. This role will focus on identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving profitable growth across international markets, with a special emphasis on LATAM and MENA regions . Key Responsibilities Market Research & Strategy Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging opportunities and analyze competitive landscapes. Track global pharmaceutical trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to refine and align business strategies. Business Development & Client Acquisition Generate and pursue new leads through networking, industry events, and digital platforms. Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in target international markets. Develop customized proposals, presentations, and value propositions to secure new business. Lead negotiations and finalize profitable, long-term business agreements. Client Management & Growth Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and retention. Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and business expansion. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing tailored solutions to meet evolving client needs. Collaboration & Execution Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, regulatory, operations, and supply chain) for seamless client onboarding. Ensure end-to-end project execution with timely delivery and compliance to international standards. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 7 - 8 years in business development or sales within the pharmaceutical industry. Market Expertise: Strong knowledge of Southeast Asia and Africa pharmaceutical markets (experience in LATAM & MENA preferred). Global Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of pharmaceutical business trends, market entry strategies, and regulatory frameworks. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing international contracts, achieving sales targets, and driving market growth. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, or related field (MBA preferred). Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong relationship-building and client engagement capabilities. Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset. Other Requirements: Fluency in English (spoken & written). Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings, conferences, and business development activities.
