PGT English Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English to teach senior secondary classes (Grades 9 to 12) under the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will be responsible for developing students’ language proficiency, critical thinking, literature appreciation, and exam preparedness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English Core and Elective to Grades 9 to 12 as per the CBSE curriculum.
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments to enhance learning outcomes.
• Guide students in literary analysis, creative writing, grammar, and comprehension skills.
• Prepare students for CBSE board examinations through revisions, mock tests, and practice sessions.
• Incorporate ICT tools, audio-visual aids, and modern teaching methodologies in classroom instruction.
• Mentor students in debates, declamations, dramatics, creative writing, and literary competitions.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain academic records, and share feedback with parents.
• Contribute to the English Department’s curriculum development and resource enrichment.
• Actively participate in school functions, cultural activities, and teacher training programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• Master’s degree in English (mandatory).
• B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
• Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching English at the senior secondary level in a CBSE school preferred.
• Skills:
• Excellent command over spoken and written English.
• Strong understanding of literature, language pedagogy, and exam requirements.
• Ability to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills in students.
• Classroom management, adaptability, and effective use of technology in teaching.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Conduct regular teaching as per the timetable and extra sessions when required.
• Participate in PTMs, school events, and training workshops.
• Maintain a student-centered, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
