Role & responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of software solutions in the Payments Domain, leveraging expertise in PERL, PostgreSQL, and DevOps tools. Responsible for guiding a team, architecting robust systems, and ensuring technical excellence in all phases of the software development lifecycle. What Part Will You Play? - Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical direction and fostering professional growth. - Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable payment solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success. - Ensure adherence to coding standards, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies. - Conduct code and design reviews, troubleshooting, and hands-on problem solving. What Are We Looking For in This Role? - Deep expertise in PERL and PostgreSQL with extensive experience in DevOps practices (Github, Jenkins, etc). - Proven ability to manage and mentor junior team members. - Strong communication skills, especially when working with geographically dispersed teams. - Experience in designing and optimizing databases and backend technologies. - Ability to architect, develop, and deploy solutions using modern tools and platforms. Job Complexity - - Responsible for complex software design, development, and deployment tasks - Handle architectural decisions and technical problem solving for business-critical solutions - Engage with stakeholders across locations to understand requirements and deliver solutions Supervision - - Mentor and guide junior developers, reviewing their work and supporting their growth - Supervise project tasks, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met Minimum Qualifications: - BE / B Tech / MCA - 10-14 years of development experience Preferred Qualifications: * Skills / Knowledge - - Expertise in Perl programming - Experience with database design, DDL, and DML for PostgreSQL and/or Oracle - C Programming, Oracle, Linux OS, GCP (or any cloud platform awareness) - Proficiency with development tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
