Founders

RISA was founded by Kshitij Jaggi and Kumar Shivang, IIT Kanpur alumni with a proven track record from their previous healthcare startup, Urban Health. Their vision is to streamline oncology care through cutting-edge technology.

Funding

RISA Labs is backed by $3.5 million in seed funding, led by Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, with support from Oncology Ventures, General Catalyst, z21 Ventures, Odd Bird VC, and angel investor Ashish Gupta.

Role Overview

We're building at high speed at Risa Labs and we're looking for an early People Operations Generalist who loves solving problems, owning processes end-to-end, and helping teams thrive.

If you're someone who enjoys creating structure, streamlining workflows, and being the go-to person for People, Ops, and employee experience - you'll love this role.

What You'll Own

• Be the go-to person for all things People Operations - employee engagement, benefits, leave management and time-off support
• Run smooth admin ops: think travel coordination, assistance, and making sure employees have what they need before they even ask
• Build dashboards and reporting that actually help us make smarter decisions - not just for the sake of it
• Drive engagement initiatives that help keep energy high and communication transparent across teams
• Keep our employee records, policies, and documentation sharp, compliant, and always up to date
• Help level up our People stack across Rippling, Greenhouse, and other tools - optimize what works, fix what doesn't
• Jump in to support Recruitment, Campus Hiring, Workplace, or Events whenever needed
• Spot broken systems, improve them, automate them, or rebuild them - whatever gets us to a better state faster
• Guard and scale our culture as we grow, making sure our values show up in how we work every day

What You Bring

• 2 to 4 years of experience in People Operations or an HR-adjacent role
• A detail-obsessed, data-first approach - you like things clean, crisp, and accurate
• An instinct for improvement: you notice process gaps before others do and love closing them
• A proactive mindset - you don't wait for permission to fix something that's broken

Bonus Points

• Experience in early-stage or fast-scaling startups
• Hands-on experience building or scaling HR processes from the ground up
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms, ATS tools, people analytics tools, and large datasets
