PCB (Board) Design Engineer

Job Description :

• Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) from engineering supplied schematics (with Altium Designer);

• Perform PCB design testing and analyze test results, participate in DFM reviews;

• Apply electronics technology and component knowledge in designs;

• Develop and document products appropriately and ensure transfer from Design to manufacturing submission for regulatory approvals; create Gerber files, production files, maintain BOM, LOC and products revisions;

• Propose process improvements to ensure PCB functionality, quality and reliability;

• Provide technical assistance to Production when needed and assist in manufacturability issues;

• Effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers and negotiate resolution of engineering change concerns;

• Report on project progress and follow and maintain project timelines;

• Create custom and standard footprints for parts and symbols for ongoing use in PCB designs;

• Create custom schematic symbols for parts for ongoing use in electronic designs;

• Generate part numbers for electronic components and maintain a library of part numbers by using proprietary company software;

• Maintain cross-reference for schematic symbols and footprints using proprietary company library software linking electrical and PCB design software. Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education;

• Experience: 5+ years PCB design

• Digital/Analog/Power PCB design experience

• A knowledge and experience with PCB designs for EMC compliance

• An experience in designs for multilayer FR4, multilayer MCPCB and multilayer FR4 with ceramic inlets

• Good knowledge of PCB fabrication processes and IPC processes, including PCB materials, finishes, inspection quality standards and understanding PCB design limitations because of available PCB fabrication processes

• Well organized with attention for detail

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per year
