Job Description

Job Title: Pathologist Lab Head

Supervise laboratory staff and manage day-to-day operations.
Plan and manage staff requirements and scheduling.
Ensure accurate staff records and evaluate employee performance annually.
Approve and monitor the duty roster.
Verify and analyse monthly laboratory statistics and reports.
Evaluate laboratory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Monitor daily Quality Control (QC) performance.
Review External Quality Assessment Scheme (EQAS) results and evaluate lab performance.
Implement new tests and validate their accuracy.
Prepare and execute the annual training and development program for lab staff.
Organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and monthly team meetings.
Ensure all instruments undergo regular Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and calibration, and maintain related records.
Conduct internal audits every six months.
Meet with the sales team every 15 days to address and resolve client-related issues.
Ensure all reports are authorized within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).
Investigate and resolve issues related to problematic or rejected samples.
