Position: Consultant Pathologist Department: Laboratory Reports To: Chief of Laboratory Key Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure accuracy of all laboratory test results and reports as per NABL standards. Review and approve abnormal or critical reports before release. Maintain and monitor quality control procedures across all lab sections. Supervise lab technicians and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety guidelines. Provide guidance to lab staff for any technical or clinical queries. Communicate and coordinate with clinicians regarding test results, especially abnormal findings. Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs. Ensure timely maintenance and calibration of lab equipment. Train and update staff on new techniques, equipment, and protocols. Ensure patient confidentiality and ethical standards in all lab operations. Requirements: MBBS with MD / DNB in Pathology /DCP Valid registration with the Medical Council. Strong knowledge of clinical biochemistry, hematology. Experience in quality control and NABL processes preferred. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Accuracy and reliability of reports. Compliance with SOPs and quality standards. Timely communication of critical values. Effective supervision and team coordination. Positive feedback from clinicians and clients.
