Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Packaging Material Manager to lead the procurement, development, and management of all packaging materials This role will play a critical part in ensuring material quality, cost-efficiency, compliance, and timely availability across our product lines The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical expertise, strategic sourcing ability, and a passion for innovation and sustainability in packaging

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee sourcing, procurement, and inventory management of primary and secondary packaging materials (tubes, bottles, jars, cartons, labels, etc) Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Design teams to develop innovative and sustainable packaging solutions aligned with brand requirements Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness Monitor market trends and innovations in packaging technologies and materials Ensure packaging materials comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality benchmarks Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls for packaging materials Lead packaging testing and validation processes in coordination with Quality and Manufacturing teams Optimize packaging supply chain processes to reduce lead times and improve efficiency Maintain accurate documentation, including technical drawings, BOMs, specifications, and vendor records

Hard Skills:

Strong knowledge of various packaging materials and technologies used in cosmetics, skincare, and oral care Proficiency in packaging material specifications, regulatory compliance, and sustainability practices ERP and inventory management systems (eg SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc) Experience with packaging testing standards and quality control processes Cost analysis, vendor negotiation, and supply chain optimization

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills Strong organizational and time management capabilities Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Leadership and cross-functional collaboration Adaptability and a proactive approach to continuous improvement

Key Skills:

Store management, Raw Material, Packaging Material, Inventory, Stock Handling

Education:

Any Bachelor s degree

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in packaging material management, preferably within the cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG sector Proven track record of leading packaging development or procurement projects Experience with sustainable packaging initiatives will be an added advantage
