Job Description

The Overseas Education Counsellor will guide students through the process of pursuing higher education abroad. This role involves counseling students on career pathways, assisting with university applications, guiding them through visa procedures, and providing end-to-end support to ensure a smooth transition to their chosen study destination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Counselling:

    • Provide one-on-one counseling to students regarding study options abroad, including courses, universities, and career prospects.
    • Assess academic backgrounds, interests, and financial situations to recommend suitable study programs and destinations.
  • Application Support:

    • Assist students in preparing, reviewing, and submitting applications to universities/colleges abroad.
    • Guide students on documentation, admission requirements, and timelines.
  • Visa and Compliance Guidance:

    • Support students in preparing visa applications and ensure compliance with immigration regulations.
    • Keep updated with changes in visa rules, admission processes, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, universities, and other stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with international universities to stay informed about programs, admissions, and policies.
  • Workshops & Presentations:

    • Conduct information sessions, seminars, and workshops for students and parents.
    • Represent the organization at education fairs, exhibitions, and promotional events.
  • Operational Support:

    • Maintain accurate student records and ensure timely follow-ups.
    • Achieve monthly/quarterly enrollment targets set by management.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and ability to build rapport with students and parents.
  • Knowledge of international education systems, universities, and vis processes.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple studentcases simultaneously.

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree (preferred: Education, Counseling, International Relations, or related field).
  • 3–5 years of experience in overseas education counseling or student advisory services.
  • Familiarity with admission and visa processes for destinations such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages will be an asset).
