Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing the operations of the operating theatre, ensuring the smooth running of surgical procedures. Your role will involve supervising OT nursing staff, coordinating surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, managing inventory and equipment, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitating communication between surgical teams and other departments. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and manage the smooth running of the operating theatre, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and functional. - Coordinate the scheduling of surgeries and oversee the sterilization of surgical instruments. - Supervise OT nursing staff, conduct performance appraisals, and ensure safety protocols are followed. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient surgical procedures and proper patient preparation. - Ensure patient safety by overseeing equipment sterilization, monitoring patient status, and maintaining accurate documentation. - Maintain records of OT supplies, replenish inventory, and schedule equipment maintenance. - Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies. - Facilitate communication between surgical teams, coordinate with anesthesia team, and address any issues during procedures. - Train new staff members, stay updated on surgical technologies, and encourage continuous learning within the team. - Ensure emergency protocols are in place and oversee the handling of emergency supplies and equipment. Qualifications Required: - Education: Nursing degree (BSc Nursing, GNM) or medical background (MBBS, MD), specialized training or certification in OT management or surgical nursing. - Experience: 3-5 years in an operating theatre or surgical unit, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.,
