Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end organic turmeric cultivation soil prep, sowing, organic pest control, and harvesting.
Maintain organic certification records (NPOP / USDA).
Supervise farm labour and ensure zero chemical input.
Improve yield, quality (curcumin content), and soil health.
Support sales team with post-harvest quality, grading, and packaging inputs.

Qualifications:

B.Sc. Agriculture / Horticulture preferred.
3 to 5 yrs experience in organic farming.
Knowledge of biofertilizers, composting, and organic compliance.

Bonus Skills:

Sales or marketing exposure in agri-products.
Familiarity with export documentation and organic branding.
Good record-keeping and communication.

Additional Experience: Sales / Marketing / Agricultural Sales

If the role needs sales / marketing experience, here are useful things to have:

Experience selling agricultural produce or working with buyers, wholesalers, exporters
Understanding of market channels (local markets, online, export) and quality / certification requirements for buyers
Branding, packaging, storytelling especially for organic / premium crops
Negotiation skills, contract farming understanding
Understanding of compliance (e.g. export regulations, organic certifications)
Digital marketing / social media knowledge to promote produce
