Project analysis: Review drawings/STP files from customers, technical specifications, and any other documents to understand project scope and requirements. Cost breakdown: Analyze project documents to determine and estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment, including both direct and indirect resources. Risk management: Evaluate project risks and contingencies to incorporate them into cost estimates. Vendor management: Research, source, and compare prices from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing. Reporting and documentation: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and participate in bid review meetings. Cross-functional collaboration: Work with project managers, designers, procurement, and manufacturing teams to gather information and ensure project alignment. Knowledge of project management principles. Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and external vendors.
