Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for deploying and administering Oracle and PostGreSQL databases. Your main tasks will include installation, configuration, and hardening of databases, as well as analyzing and resolving performance issues. Additionally, you will be developing supervision modules and implementing dashboards for monitoring the databases. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and harden Oracle (mostly 19.x, sometimes 12.x) or PostGreSQL (15.x or 17.x) databases in highly available environments with replication on secondary sites - Implement partitioning, encryption, indexing, schema, and full/incremental backup - Develop supervision modules and implement a dashboard for monitoring the databases using Grafana - Analyze and resolve performance problems during data migration and production phases - Provide support to customers for database activities and malfunctions under time pressure - Travel to customer sites worldwide for assignments, including occasional weekend call-outs during production start-ups Qualifications Required: - Expertise in Oracle and advanced knowledge in PostGreSQL - Proficiency in Oracle RAC, Dataguard/DBVisit, TDE, cluster, partition, PGBackrest, Grafana, and CISCAT - Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members,
