Role Overview:

Oracle Financials Functional Developer

Capital Markets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute

    end-to-end Oracle Financials implementations

    (minimum one full-cycle implementation required).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand

    financial processes and requirements

    related to

    GL, AP, and FA

    modules.
  • Configure and customize

    Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, FA)

    to meet business requirements in both

    On-Premise

    and

    Cloud

    environments.
  • Analyze existing financial processes, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with business and accounting standards.
  • Prepare

    functional design documents (FDDs)

    ,

    requirement traceability matrices

    , and support

    technical design

    discussions.
  • Conduct

    functional testing, UAT, and post-production support

    for financial applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Technical, Reporting, and Integration teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on Oracle Financials to guide project teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps and provide effective workarounds or enhancement solutions.
  • Support system upgrades, patching, and cloud migration initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation and user training for implemented solutions.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum

    5+ years of experience

    in

    Oracle Financials Functional

    role.
  • Strong functional expertise in

    Oracle General Ledger (GL)

    ,

    Accounts Payables (AP)

    , and

    Fixed Assets (FA)

    modules.
  • Minimum

    1 End-to-End Implementation

    in Oracle Financials (AP module mandatory).
  • Experience with both

    Oracle On-Premise (EBS)

    and

    Oracle Cloud Financials (Fusion)

    environments.
  • Strong understanding of

    financial accounting processes, reporting standards

    , and

    integration with sub-ledgers

    .
  • Hands-on experience in

    requirement gathering, configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

    .
  • Exposure to

    Capital Markets / BFSI domain

    (mandatory).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of

    Oracle Procurement (PO)

    or

    Cash Management (CM)

    modules.
  • Experience with

    Oracle Reporting Tools (BI Publisher, OTBI, Smart View)

    .
  • Familiarity with

    R12 and Fusion Financials

    coexistence models.
  • Experience in

    data migration, reconciliations, and cutover planning

    .
  • Prior experience working with

    global delivery teams or MNC clients

    .

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

    Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology

    .
  • Oracle Financials Functional Certification

    (preferred).
