Job Summary

Oracle EBS Technical Consultant specializing in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports with proven, hands-on experience in migrating/upgrading from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 11i to R12 (preferably R12.2). Responsible for technical design, development, customization, and comprehensive remediation of existing custom objects to ensure full compatibility and performance within the new R12 environment.

Key Responsibilities

11i to R12 Migration & Remediation

• Lead the technical migration effort, performing impact analysis and gap assessments for all custom objects from Oracle EBS 11i to R12.
• Conduct detailed technical remediation of custom code, specifically focusing on changes required for the transition, including API changes, schema changes, and obsolescence of 11i features.
• Ensure compliance with Oracle R12 standards and coding best practices, particularly for Forms (e.g., adherence to FNDLOAD/custom.pll replacements) and Reports (e.g., transition to BI Publisher/XML Publisher).

2. Custom Forms and Reports Expertise

• Design, develop, and maintain complex custom Oracle Forms using Oracle Developer Suite (Forms Builder), ensuring compatibility with R12 and applying necessary R12 look-and-feel standards.
• Develop, modify, and optimize custom Oracle Reports, with a primary focus on migrating existing reports to Oracle BI Publisher (formerly XML Publisher) or identifying and implementing appropriate R12 reporting solutions.
• Address technical challenges related to security (e.g., Function Security, Data Security), performance tuning (e.g., SQL tuning, report optimization), and data integrity during the migration.

3. Technical Development & Support

• Develop and modify application extensions using PL/SQL, SQL, and shell scripting to support business processes.
• Utilize Oracle Workflow Builder for process design, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Perform code review and unit testing of all customized components.
• Collaborate with Functional Consultants to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable technical solutions within the R12 architecture.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

Mandatory:

• Proven experience in at least one full-cycle technical migration/upgrade from Oracle EBS 11i to Oracle EBS R12.
• Expertise in Oracle Forms (10g/11g/12c) and Oracle Reports (10g/11g/12c) development, customization, and maintenance within an EBS context.
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL programming, including advanced knowledge of Oracle database structures and performance tuning techniques.
• Experience with BI Publisher / XML Publisher for R12 reporting.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle EBS technical architecture and standard development tools (e.g., ADI, FNDLOAD, AOL components).

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) development and extensions.
• Knowledge of underlying tables and integration points across key modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, PO, OM).
• Familiarity with R12 concepts like Subledger Accounting (SLA).
