Role & responsibilities

WINFO8882024_Senior Consultant - 2 / Lead_EBS HRMS

The Oracle EBS HRMS Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant will play a critical role in the implementation, customization, support, and optimization of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Human Resources Management System (HRMS) and Payroll modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline existing payroll business processes in existing Oracle EBS Application.
  • Requirements Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document HR and Payroll business requirements from stakeholders.
  • System Configuration: Design, configure, and maintain Oracle EBS HRMS modules, primarily Payroll, Core HR, Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and Absence Management.
  • Map business processes to Oracle EBS functionality and identify any gaps that require customization.
  • Fast Formulas: Design, write, test, and maintain Fast Formulas for Payroll calculations, Absence accruals, and other HR/Payroll-related rules.
  • Documentation: Create detailed functional specifications (MD.050), configuration documents (BR.100), and end-user training materials.
  • Testing: Develop test scenarios, write test scripts, and coordinate Conference Room Pilots (CRP), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure the Oracle Payroll system is configured to comply with all relevant local regulations.
  • Integrations: Design and implement data migration strategies and interfaces (inbound and outbound) between Oracle EBS and third-party systems (e.g., benefits providers, banks) using APIs, SQL Loader, and integration tools.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for production issues, including debugging Fast Formulas, reviewing code, and providing data fixes.
  • Workflows: Customize and support Oracle Workflow and Approval Management Engine (AME) for HR and Payroll business process approvals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Oracle EBS R12 (12.2.x) expertise in Payroll, Core HR and Absence Management.
  • Experience in Gap Analysis and developing detailed functional designs.
  • Minimum 7- 10+ years of experience in Oracle EBS HRMS/Payroll, including at least 2-3 full life-cycle implementations.
  • Proven experience in Payroll end-to-end processing including setup of elements, links, balances, and gross-to-net calculations and Strong ability to write and debug Fast Formulas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with business users at all levels.
  • Relevant Oracle certification is added advantage.
