For more information, visit www.gspann.com Job Position Oracle+ Cassandra DBA Experience - 8+ years Location Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Pune Skills Oracle DBA, Cassandra, Golden Gate, RMAN Key Responsibilities: Cassandra DBA Responsibilities: • Manage, monitor, and maintain Cassandra clusters in production and non-production environments. • Perform data modelling, schema design, and optimization for Cassandra databases. • Handle performance tuning, replication, and backup/restore procedures. • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including cluster health and data consistency. • Implement security best practices and ensure high availability and disaster recovery. • Installation and configuration of Open Source Apache Cassandra and DSE Cassandra. • Hands on experience in configuring, adding, removing and decommissioning Cassandra nodes. • Hands on experience with Cassandra miner Upgrade and Major Upgrade. • In depth knowledge in Cassandra read, writes paths and internal architecture. • Experience in implementing multi data centre cluster. • Designing data models in Cassandra and working with Cassandra Query Language(CQL). • Experience on compactions and compaction models. • Experience on types repairs and usage. • Start, Stop and Monitor of Cassandra nodes using tools like node tool. • Cassandra OpsCenter configuration. • Data Backups, snapshots and restore of Key spaces. Oracle DBA Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (versions 19c etc). • Perform database tuning, backups, restores, and patching activities. • Manage users, roles, permissions, and data security. • Monitor database performance and provide optimization solutions. • Support database migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery plans. • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for seamless database operations. • Experience on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and ASM support. • Strong database and operating system concepts. • Experience with GoldenGate . • Manages database backup & recovery procedures, disaster recovery preparation and the associated exercises. • DR and High Availability solutions such as Data Guard, RAC. Required Skills: • Proven experience (8+ years) as a DBA with hands-on expertise in Cassandra and Oracle databases. • Strong knowledge of Cassandra architecture, CQL, and operational management. • Expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. • Experience in scripting (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation. • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
