Role Overview: As an Optometrist at Nethra Eye Care Center in Thrissur, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations using specialized equipment to detect visual issues, diagnose eye-related diseases, injuries, and disorders, and develop suitable treatment plans. Your role will involve prescribing and providing corrective lenses and visual aids, delivering pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Perform thorough eye examinations, diagnose conditions, and create treatment strategies - Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses and other visual aids as needed - Offer pre- and post-operative care for individuals undergoing eye surgery - Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care Qualifications Required: - Possess clinical expertise in conducting eye examinations, diagnosing, and planning treatments - Demonstrate technical proficiency in operating specialized ophthalmic equipment - Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills for patient interactions and inter-professional collaboration - Hold a degree in Optometry and maintain a valid license to practice as an Optometrist - Showcase interpersonal skills such as empathy, patience, and the ability to develop strong patient relationships - Have additional knowledge of the latest advancements in the field of optometry and eye care practices.
