Operator - Packing

As a Bagger Operator Packing at McCain Foods India Private Limited in Mehsana, your role involves operating and coordinating the packing operation to ensure that the product is packed within the specified product specifications. You will be responsible for optimizing productivity and yield while utilizing staff and equipment in a safe, effective, and hygienic manner. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Packing Efficiencies & Recovery:** - Maintain efficiency standards and ensure planned production volumes are packed. - Control packing parameters to achieve the desired yield ratio between packing materials issued and finished products. - Record and investigate excessive waste in the packing area. - Educate and train employees on required standards. - Communicate packing output, downtime, or quality issues to the control room hourly. - **Quality:** - Set up the packing line to comply with final product specifications. - Liaise with Quality Control for corrective actions related to quality problems. - Maintain quality checks within specified parameters for traceability. - Identify and record non-conformance products and notify relevant personnel. - Ensure customer complaints and restricted products are within specified targets. - **Neatness of Workplace:** - Maintain cleanliness of walls, walkways, and floors during production. - Keep equipment clean and continue cleaning during non-packing activity. - Ensure packing staff are in clean uniforms and presentable. - Dispose of waste properly in designated containers. - **Maintenance & General Duties:** - Communicate with relevant personnel to prevent breakdowns. - Assist engineers during breakdowns and cover other positions during break times. - Perform daily checks on the packing area and report equipment defects. - Perform simple adjustments and replace consumable parts as needed. - **Safety:** - Ensure all equipment/motor covers are secure. - Keep floors dry to minimize slips and ensure staff wear Personal Protective Equipment. - Train and update staff on safety issues within the packing area. - Anticipate and resolve safety-related problems. **Qualifications Required:** - ITI qualification with a minimum of 1 year experience in the food industry. - Knowledge of food processing and packing area operations. - Understanding of process efficiency, yield/recovery, OEE, 5S, and GMP regulations.
