Operations & Supply Chain Lead

As an experienced Operations & Supply Chain Leader in the Packaging & Manufacturing industry based in Pune, Maharashtra, your role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and success of the coated paper and finished packaging business. You will be responsible for overseeing procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and overall operational efficiency to guarantee on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Operations Management - Oversee daily plant & vendor operations to meet strict delivery timelines. - Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production, quality, and dispatch. - Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as OTIF, lead times, wastage, and efficiency. - Supply Chain & Procurement - Manage the procurement of raw materials including paper, coatings, and chemicals. - Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and diversify sourcing options. - Coordinate demand forecasting with sales to ensure material availability. - Logistics & Distribution - Strategize and execute domestic & international logistics operations (IndiaEU/GCC). - Optimize freight, customs, and ensure compliance with export regulations. - Uphold sustainability and food-contact certifications throughout the distribution process. - Team Leadership - Lead and guide a team of 48 members in operations, logistics, and procurement. - Encourage accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement among team members. - Foster collaboration with Sales, Finance, and R&D departments to drive overall company success.
