Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Collection Management

Oversee management, preservation, and storage of the Foundations art collection.
Handle new acquisitions, documentation, photography, and annual inventories.
Coordinate conservation needs and ensure accurate database records.
Manage digital asset systems and acquisition documentation (contracts, insurance, transport, storage).
Ensure safe handling, packing, and transport of artworks; travel to Hyderabad and Bangalore as needed.
Facilitate loan agreements, condition reports, and insurance documentation with institutions and artists.

Insurance & Risk Management

Administer fine art insurance for the collection and loans, including transit coverage and claims.
Advise on risk management for display, handling, and transport.

Administration & Budgeting

Prepare and monitor collection-related budgets.
Manage procurement and payments for collection care, storage, and events.

Database & Documentation

Maintain and update collection databases and records.
Oversee data accuracy, clean-up, and staff training.
Prepare reports for internal use, lenders, donors, and auditors.

Event Support

Coordinate artwork logistics for exhibitions and events (shipping, installation, deinstallation).
Serve as courier for outgoing loans when required.

External Relations

Liaise with lenders, artists, and insurance brokers on transport and agreements.
Coordinate with customs and shipping agents for smooth logistics.
Represent the Foundation at professional events and stakeholder meetings.

Facilities & Emergency Preparedness

Monitor environmental conditions in galleries and storage.
Support disaster preparedness and evacuation planning.

Legal & Compliance

Ensure compliance with local/international laws, customs, IP, and contractual obligations.
