Operations Manager

As the Head of Plant Operations at Raj Stonex, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant in Kishangarh, Ajmer, Rajasthan. With over 30 years of experience in the marble and granite industry, Raj Stonex is dedicated to delivering premium products and upholding excellence across mining, manufacturing, and distribution. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee the daily operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, quality control, inventory, and dispatch. - Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational excellence and compliance. - Manage production planning to meet demand forecasts and optimize plant utilization. - Lead, mentor, and motivate plant teams, including supervisors, operators, and support staff. - Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and control costs. - Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and health standards. - Coordinate with other departments (sales, procurement, HR, logistics) to ensure smooth inter-departmental functioning. - Monitor plant KPIs and present regular performance reports to senior management. - Manage budgets for plant operations and identify opportunities for cost savings. - Solve operational challenges proactively and implement corrective actions promptly. - Lead initiatives for technology upgrades, lean manufacturing, and automation (where applicable). **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or a related field. (MBA preferred but not mandatory) - 8+ years of experience in plant operations or manufacturing leadership roles; experience in marble, granite, construction materials, mining, or heavy manufacturing is a strong advantage. - Proven track record in operational efficiency, team management, and cost control. - Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Familiarity with ERP systems and plant management software.
