Operations Lead

As a Seed Processing Engineer at Syngenta, you will play a crucial role in leading the Dryer operations and CTP operations at the NK plant. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the NK Dryer operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and supporting Business, P&S leadership teams in initiatives to improve the E2E seeds business in the Sites. You will be required to provide timely support for all technical-related activities in plant operations, conduct seed treatment best practice assessments with continuous improvements, and oversee the introduction of new recipes and technology upgrades based on requirements. In this role, you will be accountable for activities such as Seed Potential Recovery & Seed Size Analysis, Shelf Life Studies Support, CTP Line Validation & Operational Optimization, Management of Change (MOC) Coordination, Process Improvement & Quality Enhancement, Treatment Quality & AI Loading Monitoring, Testing for New Recipes & Dosage Standardization, and Lab & Pilot Scale Trials for Technology Integration. You will also be responsible for ensuring timely support for Hybrid wise seed size fraction distribution analysis, potential recovery analysis, and various other activities related to seed processing operations. To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Engineering/Chemical/Agriculture/Agriculture-Engineering/Science from a reputed university, with a preference for a master's degree. Six sigma knowledge/certification would be advantageous. You must possess extensive practical knowledge of the seeds processing industry, implementation experience of safety and quality standards, and basic working knowledge of machinery operations and seed treatment. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience with continuous improvement techniques, project management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and related software. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in a Seed MNC or process-oriented manufacturing industry in a Seed Conditioning role. You should also demonstrate expertise in productivity improvement, 6-sigma, and Lean tools, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain successful relationships with vendors. A proactive approach to identifying and managing project risks, addressing bottlenecks in processing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams will be critical to your success in this role.
