Operations Lead, Istri Project

You will be working as a Program Lead at Udhyam Learning Foundation to oversee and expand the Istri Project in Lucknow and Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The project aims to transition streetside ironing vendors from coal-based iron boxes to LPG-based ones, improving their productivity, reducing fuel costs, and minimizing long-term health hazards. As a Program Lead, your primary responsibilities will include building and managing the city-level team, ensuring smooth on-ground operations, implementing regional structures and processes, monitoring operations to address challenges promptly, establishing and maintaining retail and operational partnerships, tracking program progress, collaborating with the data team for impact metrics, and driving result-oriented execution. Key skills and knowledge required for this role include strong leadership and team management abilities, experience in implementing field projects or managing grassroots operations, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, relationship-building with diverse stakeholders, a data-driven mindset for strategy adaptation, and effective communication and reporting skills. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in program implementation, field operations, or social impact projects. Proficiency in both spoken and written Hindi is mandatory, along with proficiency in English.
