Job Description

Position: Motor Insurance Operations Executive / Officer
Department: Operations – Motor Insurance

Location- Andheri East
Qualification & Experience: Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline with 2–6 years of experience in motor insurance policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals. Knowledge of IRDAI regulations is essential.

Job Purpose

To manage the end-to-end operations of motor insurance policies, ensuring accurate policy issuance, timely endorsements, and seamless coordination with sales, underwriting, and clients, while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Policy Issuance & Processing

  • Process new motor insurance proposals (private car, two-wheeler, commercial vehicles).
  • Verify proposal forms, documents, and premium payments before issuance.
  • Issue policies within defined turnaround times.
  • Coordinate with underwriters for approval of high-value or special risk cases.

2. Endorsements & Renewals

  • Process endorsements (name change, address change, NCB adjustments, vehicle changes, etc.).
  • Manage timely renewal follow-ups and issuance for expiring policies.
  • Track and close pending renewal cases to ensure business retention.

3. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all KYC and regulatory requirements are met before policy issuance.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records for audit purposes.
  • Adhere to IRDAI guidelines and company SOPs.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with sales teams for proposal clarifications and document collection.
  • Liaise with insurance companies for endorsements, approvals, and clarifications.
  • Handle client queries related to policy terms, documents, and status updates.

5. Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain daily logs of policies issued, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports for management review.
  • Track and report on pending cases and exceptions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good understanding of motor insurance products and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Knowledge of insurance portals and policy issuance software.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
