Summary:As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements. Your typical day will involve monitoring system performance, addressing incidents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery. You will engage in proactive problem-solving and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, ensuring that all systems function optimally and meet the needs of the organization and its clients. Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary point of contact for all P1 and P2 incidents affecting applications and infrastructure.Lead and coordinate incident response activities across cross-functional teams (development, operations, network, security, etc.) to resolve critical issues swiftly.Drive root cause analysis post-incident and facilitate the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders, including executive updates, until incidents are resolved.Ensure accurate documentation of incident timelines, actions taken, and resolutions in incident management tools. 24/7 coverage for critical incident management roleMonitor and analyze incident trends to recommend improvements in processes, tools, and response strategies.Collaborate with Change Management and Problem Management teams to enhance overall IT service reliability.Escalate unresolved incidents according to defined escalation protocols and service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications:Proven experience in incident management or critical incident response in IT environments, preferably in applications and infrastructure.Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, databases, cloud platforms) and application architectures.Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of leading cross-functional teams under pressure.Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and incident tracking/reporting.Ability to work in a 24/7 on rotation.ITIL certification is a plus.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk) is advantageous Qualification 15 years full time education
