Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of aggregate crushing plants and RMC batching plants.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of plant equipment, transport fleets, and weighbridges.

  • Job Purpose:

    • To lead, manage, and optimize end-to-end operations and maintenance for the Aggregates and RMC vertical, ensuring production efficiency, asset reliability, cost control, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

    • Monitor production output to meet quantity and quality targets.

    • Implement SOPs for efficient plant utilization and dispatch planning.

  • 2. Maintenance Management

    • Lead the preventive and predictive maintenance programs across plants and mobile equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, transit mixers).

    • Minimize unplanned downtimes and extend asset life cycle.

    • Maintain spares inventory and coordinate with procurement for critical parts.

  • 3. Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to BIS and other regulatory standards for RMC and aggregates.

    • Oversee quality control processes in the lab and on-site.

    • Implement EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies across sites.

  • 4. Cost & Resource Optimization

    • Drive initiatives for energy saving, fuel efficiency, and maintenance cost reduction.

    • Monitor and control OPEX budgets, maintenance expenses, and material wastage.

    • Coordinate with logistics teams for efficient fleet operations.

  • 5. Team Leadership

    • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team including plant in-charges, maintenance engineers, and operators.

    • Ensure manpower productivity and skill development.

    • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and performance.

  • 6. Stakeholder Coordination

    • Liaise with sales, logistics, procurement, and finance departments.

    • Engage with statutory bodies, vendors, and external auditors for operational compliance.

  • Key Skills & Qualifications:

    • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. MBA (Operations) preferred.

    • Experience: 1220 years in plant operations/maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Aggregates or RMC.

    • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of crushing plant and batching plant machinery.

    • Familiarity with SCADA, PLC, and maintenance software (e.g., SAP PM, CMMS).

    • Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making.
