Operational Buyer

Role Overview: You will be supporting the CH2106 GIS Supply Chain team by executing supply chain management activities to ensure customer expectations are met and contribute to the unit's profitability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Processing purchase requisitions and converting them into purchase orders (POs) following company policies and procedures. - Ensuring timely placement of POs to meet operational and project requirements. - Communicating with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and addressing exception messages from SAP. - Monitoring supplier performance, escalating issues as needed, and tracking order status for on-time delivery. - Coordinating with logistics and warehouse teams for smooth receipt of materials. - Resolving quality notifications assigned by the IQC team promptly. - Collaborating with internal departments like Planning, Engineering, Finance, and Quality to align procurement activities with business needs. - Supporting cross-functional initiatives to enhance the P2P process, identify process optimization opportunities, and improve procurement efficiency. - Ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines while embodying Hitachi Energy's core values. Qualifications Required: - Excellent skills in speaking, reading, and writing English. - A graduate in Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Procurement or as a Buyer. - Familiarity with SAP MM Module (Creating PR, PO, etc.). - Strong leadership and negotiation skills to interact with vendors and stakeholders effectively. - Ability to work under pressure to deliver bought-out items on time, within cost, and quality standards.
