Job Description

Staff and team management

  • Provide professional leadership, motivation, and supervision to all theatre staff.
  • Manage staff schedules and create duty rosters.
  • Oversee training and development, including orienting new staff.
  • Promote effective communication and teamwork among medical and non-medical staff.
  • Ensure a professional and respectful work environment and address performance issues.

Operational and logistical management

  • Plan and coordinate the surgical timetable for both elective and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure the availability of all necessary medical and diagnostic supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Manage and maintain theatre equipment, including tracking maintenance and repair needs.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and during surgeries.
  • Oversee the sterilization and laundry services.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and laboratory staff.

Quality and safety compliance

  • Ensure and maintain a sterile field and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Implement and enforce infection control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to safety guidelines, such as radiation safety and proper scrub techniques.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement projects and participate in audits.
  • Maintain all required records, including surgery logs, equipment logs, and incident reports.
  • Ensure proper disposal of hazardous and biomedical waste.
  • Ensure patient care is patient-centered and processes reflect best practices.

Financial and administrative duties

  • Manage the budget and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Coordinate patient billing with the relevant department.
  • Prepare and submit reports on the functioning of the operating theatre.
  • Coordinate and participate in theatre committee meetings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
