Job Title: OpenText xECM Design Lead Experience: 8 to 16 Years Job Type: Full-Time Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned OpenText xECM Design Lead to spearhead the technical design and architecture of enterprise-grade content management solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key leadership role in solution definition, technical oversight, and delivery execution of OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) implementations across diverse industries. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of OpenText xECM solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business goals. Work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and enterprise architects to translate functional requirements into technical specifications. Define and document the solution architecture for OpenText Content Suite , xECM for SAP , xECM for Microsoft 365 , Archive Center , and other integrated components. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to implementation teams across multiple projects. Establish best practices for configuration, customization, workflow automation, and integration. Drive solution design reviews, code quality checks, and performance optimization initiatives. Lead feasibility studies, proof-of-concepts, and innovation initiatives within the ECM practice. Support project delivery through governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Technical Skills & Experience: 8 to 16 years of overall IT experience with minimum 5+ years in OpenText xECM solutions. Deep understanding of OpenText Content Server , Extended ECM , Business Workspaces , Smart View/UI , and WebReports . Proven experience with xECM integration to SAP S/4HANA , SuccessFactors , or Microsoft 365 . Hands-on knowledge of OTDS , RESTful API integrations , Archive Center , and workflow engines . Strong exposure to enterprise content governance , metadata modeling, and lifecycle management. Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML5, XML, and other scripting languages is desirable. Experience in cloud-based deployments (OpenText Cloud, Azure, AWS) is a plus. Leadership & Soft Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and provide architectural guidance. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments. Demonstrated ability to manage technical risks, resolve conflicts, and deliver high-quality solutions on time. Preferred Certifications: OpenText Certified Expert (Content Server, xECM, Archive Server) SAP/SuccessFactors integration experience (desirable but not mandatory)
